Liquidnet employees, friends, and family members are helping to make a difference this holiday season by purchasing bikes and helmets for children served by the Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF), an organization committed to alleviating child poverty in Vietnam & Mongolia and giving all children the right to a happy and safe childhood. One bicycle really can make the world of difference for a poor child and their family. One simple donation CAN make a difference to a whole family.
About the Bicycle Support Programme
This effort provides bicycles to children whose families face financial difficulties. The cost of a bicycle is normally too expensive for poor families, so children are left with no alternative other than to walk to school or to spend the family’s, very limited, income on bus fares. For those who have to walk, the distance and the extreme elements (scorching sun in the dry season or pouring rain in the rainy season) often result in them arriving late for class or worse still being forced to drop out of school altogether. CNCF’s simple solution has been to provide families in need with a bicycle and safety helmet.
Here's how it works:

Here's how it works:
- Liquidnet APAC employees, family members, and friends donate HK$390 (US$50), which will be used to purchase bicycle kits for CNCF’s project children in Vietnam.
- Liquidnet will automatically Double Down on the contributions, matching each donation (up to US$2,500). These matches will be used to purchase bikes and helmets for some of the 200 children who have been identified as recipients.
- We hope to raise at least enough money to purchase bikes and helmets for 40 children to help them stay in school. (Each bike kit is US$120.)
